# Access Control

Projects can be either public access or private access within the Sensori Viewer. Scans within a public access projects can be viewed by anyone who has been given a link to that scan. This can be useful for communication without needing everyone who needs to view the data to create an account with Sensori. For more sensitive projects, the access control can be set to private. This will require all users to login before viewing a scan.

To set project access, you will need to have created the project, or have been assigned a project admin role. Navigate to the project page and click the project settings button at the top right.

From the project settings page, you can set the project to be either public or private visibility. You can also invite new members to the project by email address and assign them to be project administrators with the right to invite other members and change settings, or to be ordinary members.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.sensori.systems/viewing/access-control.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
